About Maison Mutt Designer Dog Clothing and Accessories

About the Artist

Founder Niki Dee created her doggie daycoats in response to a family move to a colder climate. Her spunky Bolognese, Harley, was having a hard time adjusting to the weather. Niki couldn't find a jacket that suited Harleys "fierce" personality so she created a jacket just for him. Friends and family requested these jackets so often that she decided to create them for select boutiques.

Her affinity for art, color, fabric and "things done right" are keys to her success. Here is what she has to say about the Maison Mutt^TM line of canine couture:

"Spending the day in the studio is always a pleasure. Using the best fabrics is a must for this line. The feel of quality material on my fingers is c'est magnifique. The sound of perfectly sharpened scissors slicing cleanly through the fabric is my music. Designing and sewing is enjoyment, expression and peace for my artistic soul. I hope these designs put a smile on your face and happiness in your heart. Know that your pup's new jacket was created for them with much love and excitement with the expectation that it will soon be enjoyed by one of your precious furry family members".

Her current plans are to create an eco friendly line of jackets and bedding, continue volunteering at her local humane society and spread the word about adopting the loving creatures found at shelters.

Niki is passionate about dogs, her's and everyone else's. Her muttley crew consists of Harley - a Bolognese, Gunner - a Great Pyrenees, Jasmine - a Lab/Husky mix, Pierre - a Pomeranian and Bijoux - a Teddy Bear (1/2 bichon & 1/2 shih tzu).
